Key Responsibilities
- Lead the review, assessment, and evaluation of CE applications, providing detailed analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Plan and conduct community site visits, including coordinating meetings, delivering presentations, and engaging with First Nations leadership and administrators.
- Facilitate the implementation and reassessment of CE initiatives, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with program criteria.
- Develop and deliver capacity development plans in collaboration with First Nations, including facilitating planning sessions and supporting program implementation.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate funding agreements and related documentation, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and requirements.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with First Nation stakeholders, lenders, insurers, and partners to support program success.
- Provide ongoing consultation, guidance, and presentations to stakeholders, including onboarding new leadership and supporting transitions.
- Track, monitor, and report on program activities, deliverables, and outcomes, ensuring accurate data management and timely reporting.
- Contribute to strategic planning, program development, and process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and service delivery.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, cultural values, and legislative requirements while contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.
Education & Experience
- University degree in social sciences, finance, business administration, or related field.
- Seven (7) years of experience in similar positions with increasing responsibilities.
- A combination of education and related experience will also be taken into consideration.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of the FNMHF’s overall objectives, strategy and policies and a solid understanding of its operations and processes.
- Knowledge of program development and delivery, financial analysis, business planning and reporting.
- Knowledge of First Nations housing finance environment.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy and ability to make effective decisions and solve problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills, analytical thinking and logical reasoning and the ability to undertake and complete multiple, concurrent tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- French language is an asset.
